Peace Energy - A Renewable Energy Cooperative (PEC) was incorporated as a cooperative in October of 2003 to promote the development and adoption of renewable energy sources in the Peace region of British Columbia. The Directors involved in PEC were amongst the very first to recognize the tremendous opportunities that exist for the region, given the significant environmental and economic benefits associated with the development of renewable energy sources as well as the priority placed by government on renewable energy.
Peace Energy is an original partner in the development of the Bear Mountain Wind Park; BC's first industrial wind park facility, currently under construction near Dawson Creek, BC, and anticipated to be in full operation by late 2009.
Along with other development opportunities, promotions and education, Peace Energy, with 300 members across Canada, is strongly positioned for continued success.
Peace Energy announced June 30th that it has opened up, for a limited time only, further Class A Share investment as an opportunity for its members to make their Climate Action Dividend a green investment that will keep on returning benefits. Investment in Class A Shares contributes to significant environmental and member benefits through the development and promotion of renewable energy resources, projects and education.
Your $100 Climate Action Dividend will buy you an additional Class A investment share during the month of July 2008 only!
Alternatively, if you have not yet joined Peace Energy, your dividend cheque will have you halfway to your $200 membership, and the opportunity to invest in 4 Class A shares!
