A Regional Steam-HorsePower Expo to bring together the engineers, farmers and co-ops that are needed to rebuild alternative energy units for agricultural needs - those based on steam (which will run on almost anything) and horse power, which are fueled by the product land they work on. The purpose is to decrease the present absolute reliance on fossil fuels in the new alternative agriculture based on healthy, local and regional production.

The UBC Farm explores and demonstrates ways to reduce the impact of the food system on climate change with the “Changing the Food System to Change the Climate” project.

The first Annual Victoria Local Food Festival will combine the knowledge and enthusiasm of over twenty local food groups to educate, inspire, and empower our Locavores to help create a more sustainable, community-scale, and delicious food future.
