A Regional Steam-HorsePower Expo to bring together the engineers, farmers and co-ops that are needed to rebuild alternative energy units for agricultural needs - those based on steam (which will run on almost anything) and horse power, which are fueled by the product land they work on. The purpose is to decrease the present absolute reliance on fossil fuels in the new alternative agriculture based on healthy, local and regional production.

YWCA Vancouver’s Rooftop Food Garden provides healthy, nutritious food to women at YWCA Crabtree Corner, a family resource centre on the Downtown Eastside. It grows high-quality, organic fruits and vegetables, which are then harvested and taken to Crabtree Corner, where they are used in the Community Kitchen. The Rooftop Food Garden provides much-needed nutrition to supplement the diets of women and children on the Downtown Eastside.
